Three with Serious Injuries After Head On Crash Near Fowler Monday Night
The Colorado State Patrol responded to a two vehicle accident at 5:43 PM Monday night on US Hwy 50 near milepost 343 in Pueblo County, near Fowler, CO. According to the Colorado State Patrol incident report three people were injured in this two vehicle crash.
According to the CSP Public Information Officer, alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be a factor in the crash. Excessive speed is not being considered a factor.

Vehicle 1: Volkswagen Jetta Passenger Car
Vehicle 2: Chevy Cruz Passenger Car
Vehicle 1 had a single occupant, a 32 year old male of Pueblo, Colorado, a seatbelt was used, the driver was showing life threatening injuries and was transported for medical treatment.
Vehicle 2 Driver was a 19 year old male of Las Animas, Colorado with serious injuries, seatbelt was used, transported for medical treatment.
Vehicle 2 Passenger was a 19 year old female of La Junta, Colorado with serious injuries, seatbelt was used, was transported for medical treatment.
Narrative:
Vehicle 1 was westbound on US Hwy 50 negotiating a right hand curve. Vehicle 2 was eastbound on US Hwy 50 negotiating the left hand curve. Vehicle 1 entered the eastbound lane, both vehicles swerved into the westbound lane to avoid collision and struck front to front in the westbound lane. Both vehicles came to rest near impact, blocking the westbound lane.
US Hwy 50 eastbound and westbound traffic was detoured while emergency responders were on scene. The highway was reopened at 8:30 PM. Monday night, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
