Semi Rollover on Highway 194 Causes Power Line Incident, Driver Rescued Safely

At approx 1230pm today we responded to Hwy 194 and Milemarker 5 for a reported semi rollover.

Upon arrival of Chief Davidson a semi was on its side with a person still inside and power lines down on the truck and roadway. Crews yelled to the person to stay inside the truck since it was unsure if the power lines were still live.

The hiway was closed down and Southeast Power was contacted. When their crews arrived they stabilized the power lines and fire crews cut the windshield out to help the driver out who was not injured.

The semi was deemed to be carrying home goods and nothing to be hazardous. CSP and OCSO and CDOT are still on scene blocking traffic so the semi can be removed and the power pole can be removed.
