February 5th, 2025 - Rocky Ford Police Department - Rocky Ford, CO
On February 5th, 2025 at approximately 8:40pm, The Rocky Ford Police Department was dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of North 7th St regarding a disturbance.
During the investigation, probable cause was established to arrest Anthony Krepel a 39-year-old male from Rocky Ford, on the charges of Harassment and Violation of a Protection Order. Anthony barricaded himself inside the residence and refused to exit.
After attempting to try and talk Anthony out of the residence, officers made entry and located Anthony with an edged weapon and apparent self-inflicted injuries to his arm. Officers were able to take Anthony into custody without further incident.
Anthony was evaluated by EMS and transported to Arkansas Valley Medical Center. Upon being medically cleared, Anthony was booked into the Bent County Jail on the following charges: Crime of Violation of a Protection Order, 18-6-803.5 C.R.S., Harassment, 18-9-111(1)(h) C.R.S., Criminal Mischief ($1,000-$2,000), 18-4-501(1)(4)(c) C.R.S, Resisting Arrest, 18-8-103(1)(a) C.R.S., Obstructing a Peace Officer, 18-8-104(1)(a) C.R.S, Attempt to Influence a Public Servant, 18-8-306 C.R.S., Failed to Leave Premises on Request of Police Officer, 18-9-119 C.R.S., First Degree Assault on a Peace Officer, 18-3-202(1)(e), Felony Menacing, 18-3-206(1)(a) C.R.S.
Anthony was advised of the charges by Judge Deni Eiring and the bond was set at $7,000 cash or surety.
