La Junta Man Arrested for DUI After Crashing into Remax Building, Fleeing Scene
On February 13, 2025 at about 10:45 PM officers with the La Junta Police Department responded to the report of a vehicle that crashed into a building in the 100 block of Colorado Ave in La Junta, CO.
Officers located the damaged building and a parked vehicle that had also been hit. Through investigation, the officers identified the at-fault driver, 30-year-old Ryan Rangel, and the vehicle he had been driving.
Rangel was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Hit and Run, Reckless Driving, and Driving Under Suspension. The La Junta Police Department would like to thank the vigilant citizen who followed Rangel's vehicle from the scene until officers arrived.
