Arkansas Valley Community Concert Association Presents: Boyd Meets Girl on Feb 25, 2025
Boyd Meets Girl, a guitar and cello duo, will play the fourth concert in the Arkansas Valley Community Concert season at 7 pm, Tuesday, February 25.
It will take place in the newly remodeled Ed Stafford Theatre on the Otero College Campus. Australian classical guitarist Rupert Boyd pairs with American cellist Laura Metcalf to play from Bach to The Beatles.
Their concert has great variety, including Beyonce, Lennon, McCartney, and Michael Jackson in addition to Debussy, Schubert and Bach, as well as Spanish songs by De Falla, a Brazilian piece by Villa-Lobos, and an Argentine tango by Piazzolla.
