Picketwire Players Casting Call - The Wisdom of Eve

Picketwire Players announce auditions for their Spring production of “The Wisdom of Eve." Based on her novel, Mary Orr adapted the story into a play about an ambitious young actress, Eve, who uses manipulation and deceit to climb the Broadway ladder of success, ultimately destroying the lives of those around her, including her idol, Margo.

AUDITION DATES, TIME & LOCATION: Auditions will be held on Monday March 10 and Wednesday March 12 between 6:30 and 8:00 p.m. at the Picketwire Center, 802 San Juan Avenue, La Junta, Colorado.

CHARACTERS: There are ten characters in the play: five women and five men. Ages range from mid-twenties to early fifties.

LOGISTICS: The theatre entrance to the left of the double, front doors and the back stage doors will be open. Upon arrival, please gather in the theatre where you will fill out an audition form. There will be various printed scenes for different characters on the stage. You will be given time to become familiar with the scene. You will then be called into the Mickie Miller-Knight Lounge to present your audition form to perform your scene before a panel.

CAST ANNOUNCEMENT: The cast will be announced no later than Friday, March 14th. Each cast member selected will be contacted personally by the Director or Assistant Director. A general announcement will be placed on the Picketwire exterior door and on the Picketwire website.

FYI: “The Wisdom of Eve" is the source material for the film "All About Eve" and the musical "Applause". We look forward to your audition.
