Rocky Ford Fire Dept VS Campos Compound Camper Fire
Rocky Ford Fire Department was dispatched to the area of County Road 22 and Highway 266, otherwise known as the Campos Compound for a report of a camper on fire.
Upon arrival of C1 with 501 and 515, they gave a size up of the camper being fully involved and stated that it would just be suppression efforts.
Upon arrival of Engine 4, 504 put the truck in pump and started to don an SCBA while 505 donned a SCBA and pulled a 150 ft of attack line over the berm and over a barbed wire fence towards the camper.
505 initiated attack and 504 went to assist with a pike pole to move items around to suppress the fire.
Tanker 2 showed up to supply water to Engine 4 and 502 assisted 515 with pumping the trucks.
After knocking down the fire, overhaul operations began, and various burnt items were moved out of the way to ensure the fire was completely out.
After ensuring the fire was out, clean up efforts began. Tanker 2 cleared to go refill as Engine 4 and C1's crew's remained on scene.
Once all of the fire tools were picked up and put back on the trucks, all fire personnel cleared and went back into service without incident.
