La Junta Senior Golf 2025 Season Begins April 22
The tentative date for the 2025 season of the La Junta Senior Golf League is Tuesday, April 22, with play starting at 10:00 a.m. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we will reschedule. We will adjust the start time as summer approaches.
Bill Jackson confirmed that the City will be selling punch tickets for the golf course this year. The tickets will be for ten rounds of 18 holes and can be used for twenty rounds of 9 holes. They are available at the City offices (ask for Paula); they should also be available at the golf course starter shack, but we don’t know when.
The format of play is a scramble, improved lie (no more than one club length), no handicap with a modified blind draw for teams. Various putting and chipping challenges weekly. The entry fee is $10 each week (non-club members need to go to the club office to pay green fee and cart fees if needed). There are also modified tee boxes for different ages of the seniors.
Register to play starting at 9:15-9:30 a.m. Play will begin at approximately 10:00 a.m. Golfers cannot register later than when teams are being made at approximately 9:45 a.m.
