La Junta Police Arrest Three Suspects in Burglary on Colorado Ave; Stolen Property Recovered on Santa Fe Ave

On September 20, 2025, around 10:38 am, the La Junta Police Department was dispatched to the report of a burglary in the 500 block of Colorado Ave in La Junta, CO.

Officers learned that stolen property from the burglary was moved to an address in the 600 block of Santa Fe Ave.

Officers obtained a search warrant for the residence in the 600 block of Santa Fe Ave. Officers executed the search warrant and located much of the property stolen during the burglary.

Three suspects, 47-year-old Edward Valverde, 50-year-old Christina Martinez, and 38-year-old Bobbie Apodaca, were taken into custody in relation to the burglary and theft.
