Small Plane Crash at La Junta Airport Leaves Pilot with Minor Injuries, FAA and NTSB Investigating
At approx 5:38pm this evening a small plan crashed at the La Junta Airport while attempting to do a landing maneuver.
When emergency crews arrived they found a single occupant inside the plane conscious and alert. Party was checked by EMS and transported to AVRMC for minor injuries.
The plane was checked to make sure it was not leaking fluids and was stable. OCSO Deputies assisted with the incident.
FAA and NTSB was contacted and the scene was turned over to OCSO.
