Multi-County Felony Suspect Fernando Hernandez Arrested by Lamar Police with Meth and Fentanyl

Description: On October 8, 2025, Lamar Police arrested Fernando Hernandez of Lamar/Hartman on multiple felony and misdemeanor warrants from several Colorado counties. Officers recovered suspected methamphetamine, Fentanyl, and a firearm. Hernandez remains in custody on a no-bond hold pending additional charges. Wanted Fugitive Fernando Hernandez Arrested in Lamar on Felony Warrants and Drug, Firearm Charges
On 10/08/25 Officers of the Lamar Police Department conducted a contact with a known wanted party who appeared to be passed out in a parked vehicle.
Upon awaking the individual, it was confirmed to be Fernando Hernandez of Lamar/Hartman. Mr. Hernandez was arrested on 4 felony and 3 misdemeanor warrants from Prowers County, Otero County, Bent County and Lincoln County as well as a Colorado Department of Corrections parole violation warrant with nationwide extradition.
After Mr. Hernandez's arrest, illegal narcotics to include suspected methamphetamine and Fentanyl, as well as a firearm were located. After the arrest, Mr. Hernandez complained of an unknown medical condition.
Due to Mr. Hernandez's active warrants, and previous criminal history he remained under arrest and was transported to Prowers Medical Center. Mr. Hernandez was then transported to Parkview Medical Center and remained under 24-hour guard by Lamar Police Officers.
Upon Mr. Hernandez's release he was brought back to Lamar and held at the Prowers County Jail on a no bond hold.
Additional charges will be filed in this case.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.
