A memorial service for Yvonne Burnside will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the Seed and Supply Church in Las Animas, Colorado with Dan Tyree and Pastor Rod Coulter co-officiating.

Obituary

Yvonne Fern Burnside passed away on November 14, 2025 at the Bent County Healthcare Center in Las Animas, Colorado at the age of 64.  She was born February 15, 1961 in Las Animas, Colorado to Earl Frank and Della Fern (Morland) Burnside.  Yvonne was raised in Las Animas, graduating from Las Animas High School in 1980.  She was known for her kind heart, loving nature, and the deep dedication she had to her family.  She was a devoted mother and proud grandmother who loved spending time with her family.  Yvonne enjoyed family gatherings, watching her grandkids grow, and being surrounded by people she loved.  She will always be remembered for her generosity, her strength, and her unconditional love.

Yvonne is survived by her daughter, Jenny (Derek) Wingard of Las Animas, Colorado; grandchildren, Luis Cadenas, Salvador Cadenas, Bailey Wingard, and Peyton Wingard; sister, Brenda Tyree of Las Animas, Colorado; nieces, Marlina Maes and Shawna Garcia; nephews, Dan Tyree and Khris Tyree; great nieces, Alicia Maes, Andraya Maes, Jocylynn Smith, Zariah Smith, and baby Jenna Rose (to be born soon); great nephews, Justin (Ashley) Maes and Beau McMillan; cousins, Mardona Moreland, Marilyn (Jim) Hayter, Roxanna (Ed) Kindler, and Dale Moreland; many other relatives and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Della and Charlie Sloan; uncle, Don (Margaret) Moreland; aunts, Betty Morlan, Bonnie (Milton) Moreland; and cousins, Ronnie Morlan, Rita Morlan, and Bobby Morlan.
