Colorado State Patrol Investigating Single Vehicle Double Fatal Crash on Road 33 in Weld County Near Greely


Description: A single-vehicle crash on Weld County Road 33 resulted in two fatalities and two juveniles injured after a Lincoln MKC went off the roadway and struck a tree. Colorado State Patrol urges witnesses to come forward as the investigation continues.

Weld County Road 33 Crash Results in a Double Fatality

(Weld County, COLO) - Colorado State Patrol Troopers and Weld County Sheriff’s deputies, along with other first responders, responded to Weld County Road 33, south of Highway 392, near the town of Greeley, on December 16, 2025, at about 11:11 p.m., for a report of a single-vehicle crash.

Preliminary reports found that a single vehicle, identified as a Lincoln MKC, was traveling southbound on Weld County Road 33. The driver of the MKC failed to stop at a stop sign on Highway 392, drove through the intersection, and drove off the right side of Weld County Road 33. The MKC struck a fence and a dirt embankment before going airborne. The MKC then collided with a large tree. The MKC landed and came to rest on the right side of the road.

The driver of the MKC, identified as a 22-year-old female out of Kansas City, Kansas, was pronounced dead on the scene. An adult passenger, identified as a 19-year-old male out of Arkansas City, Kansas, was pronounced dead on scene. One juvenile male, age unknown, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for serious injury. An additional juvenile male, age unknown, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for minor injuries.

The Weld County Coroner will identify the deceased parties after all next of kin have been notified.
