Officer-Involved Shooting Pueblo Police Need Assistance Locating Person of Interest
Pueblo, CO — On Sunday, December 21, 2025, at approximately 09:02 p.m., a Pueblo Police Officer attempted to stop a white Dodge Dart at E. Abriendo Avenue and Jones. The Dodge failed to yield and continued driving southbound toward the dead end at Emerson and E. Abriendo Ave. The Dodge turned around and began driving toward the officer, slowing as it approached. The officer gave commands for the Dodge to stop but the Dodge refused to comply. The Dodge then drove into the marked police cruiser and a parked vehicle when shots were fired. The Dodge continued driving, away from the scene.
The Dodge was found a short time later in the back of a burned down residence in the 1800 block of E. Routt Ave. with a tarp covering it.
39-year-old Cassandra Lake is believed to be the driver and potentially injured. If you have any information on her whereabouts, please contact the Pueblo Police Department 719-553-2502 or 911 in case of an emergency.
No Pueblo Police officers or other citizens were injured as a result of this incident.
There is no threat to the public at this time.
The 10th Judicial District CIRT (Critical Incident Response Team) has been activated and will conduct the investigation. No additional information will be released at this time.
