Crash at Lincoln County Offices Building in Hugo, Colorado Leaves 2 Injured; CSP Investigating

Vehicle Crashes Into Lincoln County Courthouse in Hugo, CO; Two Injured, Human Services Temporarily Relocated
Today at approximately. 1020 hrs, CSP recieved notification of a crash at the Lincoln County offices building. The building holds several functions of county government, including the Sheriff's Office, the courthouse, Department of Human services, drivers licensing, clerk and recorder, among others.
Upon further investigation, it was determined that a vehicle was traveling to the building for an appointment. For an unknown reason, the vehicle lost control and sped into the parking lot, through the wall, and into the offices behind the wall. 2 people were injured, one seriously.
This event is being handled by the Colorado State Patrol Limon Troop and our Vehicular Crimes Unit.
As with any other call, especially in a small community we ask for prayers for all involved and to respect the privacy of all involved.

The Lincoln County Courthouse was involved in an auto accident today. We first want to send our thoughts and prayers to all injured in today's accident. We also want to thank our first responders (Lincoln County Sheriffs, Hugo Fire and EMS, Lincoln Health, AirLife) for their quick and professional response.
Secondly, the Lincoln County Courthouse will open tomorrow as usual for all offices EXCEPT Human Services. There will be some disruption to the Human Services operations as they relocate temporarily. The Human Services employees will be doing their best to work remotely, but in the meantime, for child and/or adult protection emergencies please contact the hotline at 1-(844)- CO4KIDS and or the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office. For any other inquiries please contact the Human Services' main line at (719) 743-2404 and leave a message, and a Human Services employee will get back to you as soon as possible. Any updates to the Human Services Office will be posted on this Facebook page as they become available.
The hallway to the Administrator's Office will also be closed to the public temporarily, so if you are in the building and need to talk personally to the County Administrator, please call (719) 743-2810 and I will come meet you in the lobby.
Again, our thoughts and prayers go out to all families involved in today's accident and we wish them a speedy and healthy recovery.
