Las Animas Elementary School to Celebrate Colorado Centers of Excellence Award on May 4


Description: Las Animas Elementary School will celebrate its Colorado Department of Education Centers of Excellence Award with families and community partners on Monday, May 4, from 3–5:30 PM at LAES.

Las Animas Elementary School is proud to announce that it has been recognized by the Colorado Department of Education with a Centers of Excellence Award.

This award honors schools that demonstrate exceptional student longitudinal academic growth, as measured by the Colorado Growth Model. LAES is one of only 18 schools to receive this recognition based on the 2025 School Performance Framework used to evaluate schools.

LAES has been invited to accept this recognition on April 28, and the school will celebrate this achievement with students, families, community partners, and supporters during a special come-and-go reception.
