Official Statement on Trooper Arrested in Loveland
Last Friday, the Loveland Police Department notified the Patrol of a member suspected of committing a crime while off duty. Trooper Jeremiah Patterson was immediately placed on administrative leave. He has been employed by the Patrol since December 2020.
The Colorado State Patrol and its members are here to ensure the safety of all persons and to live our core values of honor, duty, and respect. We take these standards seriously and recognize that the success of our mission depends upon maintaining the trust and the safety of the public we serve. We respect and defer to the Larimer County District Attorney’s Office and our judicial system regarding these charges.
Arrests and charges are merely accusations until and unless a suspect is convicted of a crime. All suspects and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
