Disaster Assistance Center Opening July 1 at Pueblo Academy of Arts
 
Pueblo, CO – A Disaster Assistance Center is opening today at 1 p.m. at the Pueblo Academy of Arts (formerly Pitts Middle School), 29 Lehigh Ave, Pueblo, CO 81005, for Pueblo County and Custer County residents who have been evacuated or impacted by the Aspen Acres Fire.
 
The Disaster Assistance Center (DAC) is a one-stop resource center set up to assist survivors with the recovery process.
Among the services that will be available at the center include victims assistance, United Way of Southern Colorado, food, Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment, behavioral health, the Department of Human Services, Red Cross, agriculture support and private insurance.
 
Individuals will be required to have proof of residency to enter the DAC, which can include photo ID with address, a piece of mail or other official document with address. The entrance to the DAC will be on the east side of the school, enter from the parking lot off of Colgate Lane.

The DAC will open the following days and times:

Wednesday, July 1 from 1 to 5 p.m.

Thursday, July 2 from 1 to 5 p.m.

Friday, July 3 from 3 to 7 p.m.

Saturday, July 4, from 8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Sunday, July 5 – CLOSED

Monday, July 6 – from 1 to 5 p.m
