La Junta Senior Golf League - results for July 21, 2026

Forty-four senior golfers came for a round of golf on July 21 at the La Junta Golf Course.  The La Junta Senior League played nine holes of scramble golf with a challenge chip on hole #9, a challenge putt on hole #6.  We also had a chip and putt game on the practice green with individual prizes.

While no golfer made the challenge chip, Rob Tryon, Mike Bauserman, Pat Engebrecht, and Jack Dellinger made the challenge putt.

Phillip Buford, Pat Engebrecht, Kevin Buchner, Bill Jackson, Rod Soden, and Sudi Stokes made the chip and putt game on the practice green in two strokes.

Next Tuesday, July 21, will be our three-club game. Each golfer can only take three clubs out on the course and a putter counts as a club. Team strategy will be key!  Registration will be open from 8:00 to 8:30 a.m., with teams being picked at 8:45 a.m.  No players can be added after this time. Play is scheduled to begin at approximately 9:00 a.m. Please call 719-469-0691 if you anticipate being late for registration but will be able to tee off on time.
