La Junta Senior Golf League Results Aug 19, 2025

The La Junta Senior Golf League held a nine-hole scramble on August 19, with 44 members divided into nine teams. A putting challenge using four holes allowed teams to lower their scores if two members made the putts. On hole #6, the challenge chip went unclaimed.  Each team’s 'closest to the hole' earning honors were: Jay Bollacker, CaSandra Thomas, Mark Johnston, Pat Engebrecht, Brad Swartz, Larry Herrera, Douglas Golding, and John Lockhart; one team didn’t report a winner.

Next Tuesday, August 27, we will meet again for nine holes playing a game that utilizes a toss of the ball on every hole, but the toss will have to be used from off the green.  Registration is open from 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. with teams being picked at 8:45 a.m. No players can be added after this time. Play is scheduled to begin at approximately 9:00 a.m. Please call 719-469-0691 if you anticipate being late for registration but will be able to tee off on time.

Reminder: There will be no Senior League on September 2, 2025, due to vacations.
